MARCH OF DIMES ANNOUNCES NEW OFFICERS FOR 2007
Congratulations to our New Leaders!
(Southfield, MI) February 26, 2007 – The Metropolitan Detroit Division of the March of Dimes recently elected new leaders for 2007. The new leaders will be charged with increasing revenue, promoting the mission of the March of Dimes to the public through communications and for the recruitment of key volunteers.

Leading the way will be Chairman Rick Cole, Chairman of the Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations College at Michigan State University. Serving in new Vice Chair positions are: John Bailey, President of John Bailey and Associates as Vice Chair for Revenue. The Vice Chair for Volunteer Development is Thomas Szczepanski, Managing Director at Beach Communications. Newly elected as Vice Chair for Communications is Dawn Orzel, Director of Business Development for the Detroit Medical Center.

Other Vice Chairs include Tony Viviano President of Sterling Heights Dodge, Wayne County Executive Robert Ficano, and Violet Ponders. The March of Dimes is honored to have such an impressive line upof individuals to lead the mission for 2007.

The March of Dimes is a national voluntary health agency whose mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. Founded in 1938, the March of Dimes funds programs of research, community services, education, and advocacy to save babies and in 2003 launched a campaign to address the increasing rate of premature birth.
