Beach Wins D Show Creative Honors
(Detroit, MI) – Beach Communications was recently recognized as a Finalist in the Direct Marketing category of the second annual “D Show” for work completed on behalf of  Dickinson Wright PLLC.   The D Show is a competition that showcases the finest creative work done in the Detroit advertising community.

Rex Smith, Managing Director of Beach, explains “the strategy was to entice national law firm attorneys to engage Dickinson Wright as local council for Detroit-based litigation. What began as a request for a simple letter and a brochure evolved into a much more effective communication piece.”

The centerpiece of this direct mail package is an original piece of glass art commissioned by Beach from Detroit artist Dominic Pangborn.

Jack Oliver, Chief Marketing Officer at Dickinson Wright says “The piece does a great job of getting past the gatekeepers at the law firms and into the hands of key prospects. We have received many favorable comments from the recipients – and most significantly, we made an important impression for our firm”

The D Show was created two years ago as a successor to the Adcraft Club of Detroit’s Caddy Awards. Bill Ludwig, Vice Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of Campbell Ewald is also Chairman of the D Council. Ludwig states “The purpose of The D Show is to inspire and ignite the creative community and bring some fun back into our business.” The number of The D Show entries surpassed all record established by the Caddy’s and the award event was attended by more than 800 people.
